An Evening with Artist, Educator & Civil Rights Activist Edythe Boone: A New Color The Art of Being Edythe Boone
Join us for an evening conversation with Ms. Edythe Boone, an artist, educator, and Civil Rights activist as she will discuss her life and work of the colorful murals that portray some of the “major events of our time and illustrate the transformative power of art”. She will talk about the community mural projects including the landmark MaestraPeace mural on the San Francisco Women’s Building and murals she has done for K-12 schools in the Bay Area. Ms. Boone is the Aunt of Eric Garner and will talk about how her work embodies the public outcry for racial and social justice advocacy for truth and change.
