Steven, I had an interview for a city gardener job, and they wanted me to go to CCSF @ night. What program do you think they had in mind?
Yoram
27:03
I just remember horticulture...
Yoram

Yup, still here.

40:34
Do you have a sense of how many people have gone to work for Tesla in Fremont?
Yoram
40:41
Or sales in SF?
Melissa McPeters (she/her)
41:03
One student is doing a Tesla apprenticeship there now. Another student will interview.
Madisen Ellis (She/Her)
41:58
A student would need to complete one of these courses before being eligible for an apprenticeship?
Melissa McPeters (she/her)
42:39
The Lyft & Tesla apprenticeships want you to have completed a couple of classes.
Yoram
43:34
Also Waymo.

RE: Electrician. I happen to live very close to Local 6's hall in the outer Mission. Is there a relationship between them & your programs? Also, do you see a need for new "generation" of apprentices here in SF? Lastly, do you have any idea when they will reopen the training center?
Melissa McPeters (she/her)
47:28
We do not have an MOU with Local 6. Yes, the need for apprentice electricians will increase in the near future. Their website will say when the next openings are. I believe nothing for 2021.
Yoram
48:20
Local 22? Plumbers?
Yoram
48:28
Sorry, 28.

You can sign up with Local 22 at any time and hustle a job after you get the letter. All the list trades, like electrical/plumbing will probably reopen their apprenticeships in 2022 or 2023.

These certificates can lead directly to these potential careers or is there more schooling needed?
Yoram
51:58
Keith, I recall hearing something about access to a number of professional software packages, such as Navisworks, AutoCad, On Screent Takeoff, etc. Or whatever's the new new thing.
Melissa McPeters (she/her)
52:05
We have a partnership with Local 467 after you complete CNST 132 & 134.

Does anyone have any insight into what is the holdup with the list trades, other than Covid…?
Melissa McPeters (she/her)
01:00:05
Just COVID. They generally do tests every other year, but now they've pushed it back.
Yoram
01:00:10
There's also CityBuild. I've gone through the interview process.
